Dear angels, higher self: It’s been a long time since I’ve written. I’ve been enjoying my work with IMS, especially the slides, but I’ve been stumped with some of the video challenges and this has hampered my motivation. Can you help me gain a new perspective on my work? I really want to honor my commitment and maintain a high level of motivation. I need to get through the technical challenges.When we encounter obstacles in life – so-called “obstacles,” they are none other than challenges that our very own soul and spirit have designed for us to provide a learning experience and an opportunity to grow. You see, when we are in “business as normal” mode, we often do not move forward in life. We stay in our safe little cocoon, not knowing that there is more to life and actually not “caring” if there is more in life. Actually we are protecting ourselves from the “more in life” when we are in our safety zones of known quantities.
So it is very good when our soul and spirit designs a challenge for us because this means that we are truly ready to move forward.
So you see, your challenge is less to rise to the physical challenge than it is to understand that this challenge is one of your own making – and one that you have chosen uniquely for yourself so as to provide you with the impetus to move forward to the next level of understanding.
Now, the ego is always a player in these circumstances. The ego is a very careful, cautious, hidden player because the ego hides behind “happenstance,” making you believe that what lies before you is something of an externally-driven circumstance. The ego wants you to feel that you do not have the power to do what is before you. The ego wants you to think that you have better things to do with your time than rise to this challenge. The ego wants you to believe that you are incapable of understanding and figuring out solutions to the problem. The ego wants you to think that you are a victim of the challenge and that poor you – all you need to do is find a distraction and this “problem” will go away.
The ego is clever. The ego is coy. The ego is always, always wrong. There is never an instance when the ego speaks truth. The very nature of the ego is deceit and untruth.
So, you must not believe the voice of the ego because the path that the ego lays out before you is a path fraught with pitfalls and potholes. Do not go where the ego beckons. There is no productivity in following the voice of the ego.
Rather, look to your higher self, your loving self, your very wise and inscrutable self, the self that is not often recognized, and see that this is truly the self that wishes to be known, acknowledged, and honored for the special challenge that it has designed for you.
Now, you must know that you do have within you all the intellectual, emotional, and sensory tools that you need in order to solve the problems that are vexing you. This is to say that you do indeed have the power, all on your own, to figure out a solution to the problem. You may call upon friends and you may call upon whatever resources you have, but in truth the answers are already within you. You must clear the mind just like you clear the palette before a fine meal, in order to have clarity of vision and purpose. You must OPEN the mind to the answers that are already within, and allow those answers to become known. The answers are within. This is always where answers lie. It is like a treasure hunt though. You will find one answer, and this answer will lead you to another answer, and that answer will lead you to another. There is a system, a connected system of related thoughts, related answers, related issues. All are tied together in a sophisticated network of related issues and ideas.
In truth, the connections are chemical ones. All that is within the mind is a series of chemical relationships. Memory is chemical. When you remember something, it is actually a chemical relationship that is being established in the brain. There is magnetism and electricity that is part of the chemical equation. All of these forces are aspects of the energy of you that allows you to be a highly functioning human being. This is why it is critical for each of you – each human – to be forcefully committed to maintaining the highest viability of chemistry within. To eat organic foods, to eschew exposure to toxins, to keep the purity of the physical body at the highest possible level – this should be the goal of every human being because it allows for the body and the mind and the senses and the emotions to operate at peak capacity.
Fear is the most insidious form of a blocker that has ever been known to man. An ounce of fear can wreak major damage on any body, any mind, any being. Fear is the great destroyer. It is a huge ship of destruction. It can render impotent any memory, any cellular pattern of health, any strong mind, any healthy body. Fear is the chemical pattern of destruction. It should be the pursuit of every human to recognize fear in all its myriad forms, and to release fear and all fear beliefs, because it is our fear beliefs that connect us to our undeveloped past and hold us captive in that environment.
Now, you have before you a challenge of your own creation: how to download the video from your new camera onto your computer, and how to work with this video footage. You have all the tools that you need at your disposal. You must make a list and number the list from one to ten. Next to each number you write the challenge – the task – that is yours to accomplish – to perform. And then next to each task you write the process of accomplishing that task. And if there are special manners that you must engage in, then you write what those are. You write the definitions to the new words – the new vocabulary. You become conversant with the language. You run the tutorials where needed. You try – engage in trial and error.
And you must be diligent. Establish a set of goals, time-wise and otherwise, and you abide by the goals that you have established. Honor your goals. They are yours. They are your creations. They are designed by your soul and spirit because your soul and spirit are infinitely wise and infinitely loving and they understand what you uniquely want and need and this juncture, each micro-juncture of your life. There is never an instance of life and living that is not a creation of the soul and spirit of you, unless it is a creation of the ego, the masterfully-disguised child of the intellect that wants no progress.
Now, ahead is something very, very exciting. Ahead is the online school that has been waiting to be born into the full light of day. Many are waiting to avail themselves of this special home of knowledge. You see, for centuries you have been involved in the creation of this school. It does not matter what the physical home of this school is – online or in the streets or in the homes or in a church or in a physical school building. There is no “place” where knowledge belongs other than in the mind and in the heart of the human who seeks it. The online school is simply a mechanism for taking inspiration and bringing it to the masses. This is the purpose of the online school: to bring the knowledge that your teacher has shared with you – to others who seek it. Reach out your hand and see that the knowledge you share will in turn be shared, and shared and shared and shared. There are infinite ways to share the knowledge, and it is your revered goal, your purpose, to help in that sharing. This sharing has brought you infinite joy and creative expression, and it is part of your soul heritage. To honor that heritage is to honor your soul and spirit in remembering, throughout time, that knowledge is to be shared.
Remember that you are very well supported by your colleagues in this effort. They, too, are remembering their soul and spirit purposes, and together you are cooperating to bring a piece of your shared past into the present age. There should be great joy in sharing this purpose. You see, there is so much sharing on so many levels. It is no coincidence that your first course will be “Sharing.”
Now, keep your purpose – your many purposes – in the forefront of your mind. Do not forget what you have come to do, and what the gains will be. At another time we will discuss the gains. But for now, remember the joys of creating and the joys of sharing. Be courageous. Be adventurous. Be happy with the creation of the online school. What you give to the school will be given to many others as a gift that eternally pays forward. This is one of the laws of the universe: that which is expressed continues to be expressed in greater and greater measure. The universe is continually expanding, and with it YOU TOO expand. So the energy that you give to the school is in effect an insurance policy for your own expansion. There is never a moment of giving that is not rewarded with equal and greater gifts in return.
So this work that you do with the school is a gift to yourself and to others with whom you share the knowledge. Be blessed, feel the blessing of giving and receiving because the school is the embodiment of both.
Thank you for your work and for your interest in uncovering the fears that impede your progress. In truth, there is no fear within as you uncover the love. Love is truly all there is, and it is with this love that you create the gifts you are sharing with the school and with your compatriots who are depending upon your work as a tandem gift to their own.
